This morning Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary welcomed Donnie Dee from the San Diego Rescue Mission who explained where our recent $4500 donation was going!
Donnie shared about the services available to people who are homeless in San Diego County and about the rehabilitation programs in use to combat homelessness. He gave us each an "I See You" kit and challenged members to reach out and give the kit to someone who could benefit from receiving it. The SD Rescue Mission gives out between 12,000-13,000 kits per year. Following the presentation, new member Craig did his "Who Am I," sharing about his family, his Navy experience and about the numerous non-profits in which he is involved. It was a great way to get inspired on a Thursday morning!
