This week the Chula Vista Sunrise Rotarians took a field trip to the Innovation Station! Located in the basement of the Chula Vista Public Library on "F" Street, we got to see one of the six Innovation Stations around town which serves 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from the Chula Vista Elementary School District.
Michael Bruder, Instructional Services Coordinator, explained the mission and how the programs have been developed over that past seven years in Technology, Energy, Hydro, Health Instruction, and Coastal Education. Later this year the next component, Sound Stage, will be available. The goal is to have students identify their interests, what they are good at and what they love, in planning for future careers! We were impressed to learn about the wonderful programs available for children within our community!
