At this morning's online club meeting, we welcomed Maxie Gluckman who shared the news that our global grant, "Honduran Teacher Empowerment", has been approved!
Maxie explained the very challenging process that she, President Jeff, Rochelle, and a team of volunteers have gone through to finally receive approval from Rotary International. Due to funding changes and COVID, it has been a long two year process to get approval for the $81,500 that will assist Honduran teachers train other teachers. About 20 clubs from eight Rotary districts across America are financially committed to getting this done. Thank you Maxie and your team of volunteers who have orchestrated the process through presentations to many. And a special thank you to the clubs who have made the commitment. We can't wait to learn how the money spent by our club and others will impact the students and learning in Honduras.
