A Message From Our President

I'm very honored and excited to "zoom" into the 2020-21 Rotary Year as the President of the Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary. Embracing the theme "Rotary Opens Opportunities", our small but mighty club will forge ahead with Zoom meetings and appropriately distanced social interactions until it is deemed safe to meet again in person.

Knowing that our club is coming off the high of having our very own club member, Marta Knight, serve as District Governor for this last year, I am determined to embrace that enthusiasm and energy to move forward with our commitment to do good in our local community and in the world around us.

I am proud to that that the Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary will be sponsoring and participating in Rotary Global Grant #1990635 Honduras Teacher Empowerment Program "Train for Change" which aims to increase educational outcomes for the students in Honduras by empowering their teachers with the skills they need to raise the next generation of Honduran leaders. Our Rotary goal is to provide 32,000 students in the most at-risk areas of Honduras with higher quality education, bringing us closer to the goal of ending the extreme poverty and violence in Honduras through education and youth empowerment.
