This morning we welcomed District Governor Dan Gensler to our Rotary meeting!
We learned about Dan's Rotary story, how he started in Rotary to help his own business, but more about the inspirational stories and experiences that kept him coming back! Dan quickly learned about the humanitarian impact Rotarians make throughout the world, and we were inspired by his recollection of Sister Ethel and her work in South Africa and about Victor, a double amputee in Mexico who benefitted from the prosthetics he received from a Rotary-built manufacturing plant. Dan reminded us of the impact Rotarians have throughout the world, and reminded us that "The World Needs Rotary." He claimed that Rotary does more than any other organization worldwide to alleviate suffering. DG Dan thanked Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary for our Per Capita Giving at $244 per member per year! We were also joined by Don Fipps who was recently named as District Governor 2024-2025 and AG David Hoffman.
